A steam liner on the ponds of Ixelles…

Attracted by the vicinity of the forest and the Maelbeek source, nuns founded in 1201 what will become one of the most important Benedictine abbeys of our regions. This peaceful and verdant environment forms over the centuries a welcoming setting for prestigious dwellings of remarkable architectural quality.

Our walk will allow you to discover, along the ponds of Ixelles, the abbey of La Cambre and its gardens, magnificent Art nouveau and Art deco facades, including the ocean liner stranded on the trendy Place Flagey.
